Macmillan to raise funds from Rupert the Bear badges

Howard Lake | 29 August 2004 | News

Macmillan Cancer Relief has joined forces with The Big Badge Company and Express Newspaper Group to launch Rupert the Bear character badges to raise funds.

The four pin badges represent Rupert and his friends. They will initially be available exclusively through all 2,300 Barclays and Woolwich branches from 14 September 2004 for five weeks for a suggested donation of £1. The campaign aims to raise £100,000 for Macmillan.

The Big Badge Company has worked with Macmillan on previous badge campaigns and was involved in securing the licensing rights from the Express Newspaper Group. It is supplying its marketing and sales services at no cost to Macmillan Cancer
Relief.
