29 ways to promote your Web site – updated

Dr. Ralph F. Wilson, publisher of the excellent free resource Web Marketing Today, has updated his popular article listing 29 ways to promote your Web site.
The list isn’t specifically targeted at charities, but almost all of the tips will be relevant to any organisation trying to promote its Web site.
The article divides tips into a range of strategies – search engine, linking, traditional, e-mail, miscellaneous and paid advertising.
Many of the tips are for from new and were incorporated in the original version of the article in 1997. But, from UK Fundraising’s Howard Lake has found from his training courses on promoting charities’ Web sites that many organisations have still not addressed some of these promotional issues.
