WCVA offers free online-only membership to voluntary groups

The Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) has introduced a free “e-membership” option for voluntary groups in Wales, offering them electronic information at no charge.
The umbrella body for voluntary and community groups in Wales is offering a fortnightly ‘e-Xtra’ e-mail newsletter to these online-only members. This will feature funding news and links to other useful resources.
Existing WCVA members can also receive the new e-Xtra as part of their current membership.

This is a welcome development, demonstrating how voluntary sector organisations and umbrella bodies can grow their membership while keeping servicing costs to a minimum. Online publishing offers not only a method of supporting existing membership schemes, but introducing new elements.
