Greyhound rescue charity chooses animal welfare database
The Surrey-based animal charity Retired Greyhound Trust has selected the new CLAWS database from Minerva Computer Systemsto help it keep track of re-homed dogs.
Ivor Stocker, Manager of the Trust, said: “The CLAWS system allows us to track all the dogs from when they get brought
in to when they are settled in their new homes. Until now, we have relied on
a simple Access database. The new system allows us to track them on their
journey to their new life after racing.” The Trust has re-homed 25 000 dogs in the last 25 years.
Simon Fowler, Minerva’s Managing Director said: “We have designed CLAWS as an aid for animal welfare centres. The system stores information about the animals, including veterinary details, and can match up the animals with potential owners. It also has a fundraising module to process donations.”
