“The Grant-making Trusts CD-ROM 2003” combines the trusts databases of DSC and CAF. Updated annually, the resource is packed with information about more than 4,000 UK grant-making trusts, who between them give over £1 billion a year. The new third edition will be available in April 2003 and will cost £115 + VAT.

“Marketing Strategy For Effective Fundraising” by Peter Maple is the latest addition to the DSC/CAF/Institute of Fundraising Series of books. It will be available in April 2003 for £19.95.

DSC moves into the personal effectiveness arena with “Achieve! Personal Effectiveness in the Not-for-profit Sector” by Mark Butcher. It is aimed at not-for-profit managers who are under pressure, juggling multiple priorities, want to achieve more of their life goals and want to function at a consistently high level without burning out. It will be available in April 2003 for £12.95.

“Boards that Work – A Guide for Charity Trustees” by David Fishel will be available in April 2003 for £16.95. It looks at how to keep the board motivated and purposeful.

“A Practical Guide to Charity Accounting” by Kate Sayer will be published in February 2003 in association with Sayer Vincent at around £14.95. It will guide charities through the accounting and reporting procedures required by the SORP (the Charity Commission’s Statement of Recommended Practice), explaining how and why charity accounting is different from commercial accounting.

All these titles are available in the UK Fundraising Bookshop. You can order them direct from the Directory of Social Change or, in most cases, online from Amazon.co.uk.
