Spanish philanthropy institute formed

The Philanthropy and Development Institute has been formed in Barcelona in Spain to promote philanthropy and develop the voluntary sector in Spain. Executive Manager Dr Manuel Palencia-Lefler says that it is the “first institution [of its kind] in Spain.”

It includes links to relevant consultants, trade magazines, online forums, and training companies, but almost all are American.
To coincide with its launch the Institute is publishing a fundraising handbook for Spanish organisations, which is now listed in the UK Fundraising Bookshop.
