Eight million women in the UK used the Internet in the past 12 months, according to NOP. Sixty per cent of these women were aged between 25 and 40.

Eight million women in the UK used the Internet in the past 12 months, according to NOP. Sixty per cent of these women were aged between 25 and 40.

Almost half of the US population, 100.2 million adults, has bought something online, according to Nielsen/NetRatings. The largest growth areas for online purchases were in travel and clothing.

Nielsen/NetRatings Global Internet Index reports that 379m people around the world have Internet access from home. Of these, 211m people were rated active Web users.
