The ‘Saints and Sinners Census’ by Eyeconomy Consulting tested retailers on the speed of their response to a test e-mail, their helpfulness, and how much they encouraged further contact. The survey found taht 44% of the retailers took over 24 hours to reply. Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Iceland all failed to respond within 48 hours. Blackwells, however, responded within 15 minutes.
