Charities' uptake of IT "slow" and "patchy"

The Guardian and Tate Bramald have published their research in to The Use of IT in Non-Profit Making Organisations. The survey suggests that “use of IT for internal office purposes is generally patchy.”
The Guardian and Tate Bramald have published their research in to The Use of IT in Non-Profit Making Organisations. The survey suggests that “use of IT for internal office purposes is generally patchy.” Of the 221 charities surveyed, 37% did not have any member of staff with responsibility for IT. Annual IT budgets were around £20,000, or 2% of expenditure. Forty five per cent of respondents rated e-commerce as unimportant or irrelevant to charities.
