Hague criticised for charity claim

Yesterday the Commons’ committee on standards and privileges supported a report by the parliamentary standards watchdog which criticised the Rt Hon William Hague MP for claiming that he donated speaker fees to a charity which had in fact not been registered.

Yesterday the Commons’ committee on standards and privileges supported a report by the parliamentary standards watchdog which criticised the Rt Hon William Hague MP for claiming that he donated speaker fees to a charity which had in fact not been registered.

The report stated that “Mr Hague failed to respond correctly on eight occasions when required to check his entry.”
