The National Statistics Office has today launched its neighbourhood statistics service online. You can now view statistics from ward, through local authority to regional level, giving details such as deprivation index, employment figures, population age and numbers, and levels of income support. You can even search by postcode.

You can now view statistics from ward, through local authority to regional level, giving details such as deprivation index, employment figures, population age and numbers, and levels of income support. You can even search by postcode.

Such statistics are not all going to be of direct interest to fundraisers, but they might help inform a more detailed analysis of an area for setting up a local group, running a leafleting campaign, or researching the locality of a prospective major donor.
