Charity shops face hard trading conditions

Oxfam saw its shops’ profits plunge from £16.5m in 1997-98 to £7.6m in 1999-2000. They aren’t the only charity facing tough trading conditions. Scope’s shops’ profits halved to £2.6m in 1999-2000.
