Marie Curie pulls Fundraising Director's job offer
Marie Curie Cancer Care has withdrawn its job offer to a new fundraising director just one day before his leaving party at his original employer. Fortunately Mark Astarita was able to retain his original job at the National Deaf Children’s Society, but The Guardian reports that Marie Curie Cancer Care “is in a state of flux with the threat of up to 50 redundancies.”
The cancer charity explained that it was undertaking a general review of fundraising operations.
