Geekcorps is featured in this month’s Wired magazine. He is reported as describing Geekcorps as a “dot-org”. Apart from emphasising the non-profit status of his start-up, this is his shorthand for distinguishing his start-up from “the non-profit tradition of proposals, grants, and rigid multiyear project plans.” His term is meant to be more “guided by the fast-paced mind-set of the [Internet] industry.”
