Comic Relief’s banner advert for the Drop the Debt campaign was ranked third by Forrester Research’s Internet AdWatch Weekly Alert this week in terms of estimated media spend. This is the highest ranking of any charity banner ad to date. The ad, featuring comic character Ali G appeared on various sites including The Guardian. Needless to say, it can reasonably be assumed that at least some of these sites donated ad space for the campaign.
