Those still thinking that the Internet is not an appropriate medium for charities on which to solicit donations should ponder on the success currently being enjoyed by businessman Richard Noble. He is receiving up to £30,000 a day via the Internet in payments by private investors for his sky taxi project.

If investing in corporate jets can attract £1 million in such cash support from individuals within “a few months”, then surely online charitable appeals stand a pretty good chance?
