Animal charities seeking to sell merchandise online might be interested in a software package that helps cat-owning PC users. Bitboost’s PawSense package can recognise the presence of a cat on a keyboard and will prevent possible damage by emitting a sound that is “annoying to cats.”

You can test out the noise at Bitboost’s site, but be warned, it is also annoying to humans.
