Nuns raise funds online

We’ve heard of monks using the Web as an electronic scriptorium. Now they have been joined by a group of nuns using the Web to raise funds with their own online auction, which will run until 30 May.
The Benedictine Sisters in Ridgely, Maryland, set out to run their own auction, rather than use an existing online auction service. Sister Jeannette said they saw it as “an opportunity to launch our own internet communications strategy, create better relationships with our supporters, tell people about the Benedictine Programs & Services and control the revenues from banner advertising”.
