Seven months ago Charities Aid Foundation launched the CharityCard secure donation facility. For the first time, donors with tax-efficient personal charity accounts could make donations to charities from those accounts via the Web.

Seven months ago Charities Aid Foundation launched the CharityCard secure donation facility. For the first time, donors with tax-efficient personal charity accounts could make donations to charities from those accounts via the Web. Since the launch, over £80,000 has been given by UK tax-paying donors to charities involved in the scheme, reports CAF. By the end of March 1999 this had risen to £85,000, representing over 1000 donations.
