The Charities Regulator in Ireland is hosting a series of regional events this Autumn to meet charity trustees and those working and volunteering in the sector.

“This is an opportunity for our staff to meet with those who dedicate their time and energy to charitable work, and to highlight the support materials that are available from the Charities Regulator, in particular those relating to the Charities Governance Code.

“It is also an opportunity for trustees, staff and volunteers of charities to meet with peers and discuss common issues within the sector,” Charities Regulator Chief Executive Helen Martin said.

Topics covered will include the Charities Governance Code, Charity Concerns, Roles and Responsibilities of Charity Trustees and Advancing your Charitable Purpose. These presentations were developed in response to common issues identified by the staff of the Charities Regulator in their work with charities.

Senior staff from the Regulator will be available on the night to answer questions from the floor in the following locations:

Entry to the events is free but participants must register on the regulator’s website.

The Regulator says seating is limited so the events are strictly for trustees, staff and volunteers working with charities.
