Irish fundraising body rebrands
Fundraising Ireland and the Irish Charity Tax Reform Group, which earlier this year announced that they were merging, have rebranded as the Charities Institute Ireland (CII).
CII’s new mission statement is to “work to create the conditions for a vibrant independent charity sector that attracts increased funding support to deliver positive, tangible social change in Ireland”.
CII’s four objectives are:
- Promoting and enabling the environment in which charities can flourish
- Providing leadership and support to those dedicated to best practice and high standards
- Supporting the growth of established charities and supporting those with potential
- Championing those committed to greater transparency and improved accountability
CII says all fundraising charities in Ireland will benefit directly from their work on improving the policy climate, public trust, and capacity building training but to have greater impact they will focus on Ireland’s top 500 charities.
