Charities which marked International Day of Charity
Today was the fourth annual International Day of Charity, set up by the United Nations to promote the work of charities and of the individuals and organisations that support them financially and by volunteering.
Here are some of the charities we spotted marking the day.
The majority of them have taken the opportunity to thank donors and volunteers. Others promoted upcoming fundraising events, or invited people to donate today.
Some, like Barnardo’s, chose humour with an animated GIF.
