UK IT Awards seek not-for-profit entries

The UK IT Industry Awards are calling for not-for-profit and public sector organisations to enter their IT projects into this year’s awards.
The awards are organised by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and Computing, and celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence in projects that use IT to benefit the organisation or its clients.
Last year, the Awards received over 330 entries with winners from the public sector including Cabinet Office, Home Office and IndigoBlue, which won the Award for Best Not for Profit IT Project, and Tessella and Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC), which won highly commended in this category.
Paul Fletcher, group CEO, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, said:

“Our role at BCS is to make IT good for society as it contributes to every aspect of our daily lives. Our UK IT Awards are a fantastic way of recognising and celebrating significant developments within the industry.”

Entry is online via the awards site, and applications close on Friday 8th July. The first round of judging will take place in August, with the winners announced at a gala evening event on 16th November.
