Melanie May | 6 April 2016 | News

The Great Bristol 10K has announced a new event in partnership with Bristol Children’s Hospital charity The Grand Appeal.
The 10K will now include a Family Mile for runners aged three and upwards, with a course based around the main event village at Bristol’s Harbourside.
The Great Bristol 10K sees 12,000 participants running the course, which starts and finishes at Harbourside, and takes in Clifton suspension bridge. Entry is still open for this year’s event, which takes place on 15th May. Entry price for the Family Mile is £7, with more information on entering available online: www.greatrun.org/bristol10k.
Tom Westman, event manager of the Great Bristol 10K said:

“We’re really pleased to be able to include a family element in the event this year. It’s so important to encourage children to enjoy being active from a young age. The event will start and finish at the main event finish line, hopefully we’ll inspire some young runners of the future to take on the 10k in years to come.”
