Growing Localities Awards 2016 open for entries

Lemos&Crane and The City of Corporation’s charity, The City Bridge Trust, are seeking entrants for The City of Growing Localities 2016.

The awards are open to non-profit organisations based in any London borough that use nature to enhance the lives of local citizens, as well as communities. They offer a total of £5,000 in prize money.

The entry deadline is 22nd April. A shortlist will be revealed at the end of May, and the winners announced at an event in the summer.

The themes for 2016 are:

  • Using nature to support families in the community
  • Nature and inclusion for people with physical and other disabilities
  • Innovative projects in schools for children and young people
  • Community projects focused on sustainable horticulture.

Applicants must describe what their project already does and how the prize money would be spent to further its work.

Entry forms can be downloaded from the Lemos&Crane website. http://www.lemosandcrane.co.uk/
