ICO launches self-assessment DPA tool

The Information Commissioner ‘s Office has launched an online self-assessment toolkit aimed at helping small and medium-sized organisations assess their compliance with the Data Protection Act.
The tool asks a series of questions and generates a rating according to the participating organisation’s responses. It also provides links to relevant guidance and information.
The online self-assessment toolkit it can be completed as one comprehensive assessment that covers the key obligations that organisations of this size have in relation to processing their customers’ or clients’ personal information. Alternatively, it can also be broken down into separate checklists, so enabling users to tailor it to their organisation’s particular needs and risks.
