UK airport operator, Manchester Airports Group (MAG) chose CLIC Sargent after asking its employees which charity they would like to support, and has set itself a fundraising target of £1m.
MAG owns and operates London Stansted, Manchester, East Midlands, and Bournemouth airports, and all of the money it raises will be used directly within these regions.
Rachel Kirby Rider, director of fundraising at CLIC Sargent, said:

“Through its four airports, MAG has touch points with thousands of employees and millions of passengers, many of whom can relate to our cause either directly or indirectly. Our aim is to help ensure the whole family receives the support which works best for them and the generosity of MAG, through its employees and passengers, will ultimately help us continue to support children and young people with cancer, and their families.”

Charlie Cornish, CEO of MAG added:

“We look forward to supporting and fundraising in aid of this fantastic charity. The advantage of working with CLIC is employees will be able to see the difference our support makes right across all the communities at our airports as the money raised will purely be used within our regions.”
