PR agency seeks Charity of the Year to promote pro bono

Melanie May | 10 December 2015 | News

PR and marketing agency Shooting Star is searching for a charity to support throughout 2016.
The agency is offering a year’s free PR support, and is appealing to charities and other non-profit organisations to approach it for support if they lack the means for ongoing PR and marketing activity.
Since Shooting Star launched the initiative in 2009, it has provided support to a variety of causes including KIDS Strut, The Ethan Maull ‘Up Yours To Cancer’ Foundation and The Ally Cadence Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. 2015 has seen YMCA Lincolnshire and The Nomad Trust in Lincoln receive the agency’s help. As well as providing PR support, the agency also raised over £1,000 for YMCA Lincolnshire through its annual charity chippy quiz, which took place in November.
Kate Strawson, director of Shooting Star, said:

“As a company we are passionate about giving something back to the community, so every year we do our bit to help promote the work of a charity. Charities offer support to diverse parts of our community, but they often do not have the resources to promote their services.”

Charities have until 21st December to apply by emailing he***@we***************.uk and explaining why they think they would benefit from a year’s free PR.
