Louise Parkes joins Barnardo’s as Corporate Director of Income and Innovation
Barnardo’s has appointed Louise Parkes to Corporate Director of Income and Innovation, a new role at the children’s charity.
She joins from the British Heart Foundation where she is been Director of Fundraising at the British Heart Foundation for the past five years. Before that she was Director of FR at the charity Shelter, and has worked in a number of charities before that.
As Corporate Director for Income and Innovation Louise will take responsibility for the charity’s retail chain of over 600 shops, its successful commercial services arm.
Parkes joins Barnardo’s at the same time as Adam Pemberton, who becomes Corporate Director of Strategy and Performance, joining the charity from Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary. Both take up their roles in January 2016, as the charity prepares to mark its 150th anniversary.
