Myeloma UK supporters raise over £3m on JustGiving in 10 years

How valuable is an online giving site to a charity? Myeloma UK reports that in the 10 years since it joined JustGiving it has raised over £3 million through the site.
Given that, according to the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, the charity raised £2.8 million in 2013 and £3.2 million 2012, this suggests that giving via JustGiving has raised at least 10% of the charity’s income over the past decade.
Myeloma UK Chief Executive Eric Low thanked the charity’s supporters for breaking through the £3 million barrier, adding:

“Myeloma UK receives no government funding; it relies almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising activities, so please continue to be extraordinary by raising even more money to support our work.”
