Three ready-made fundraising events for charities

Howard Lake | 22 April 2015 | News

Creating and implementing a fundraising event is hard work, so it’s good to see some organisations offering ready-made opportunities. Here are three from this week.

1. The Great Big Small Charity Week Quiz 2015

The FSI, organisers of Small Charity Week, are once again offering small charities the Great Big Small Charity Week Quiz 2015. All you need to run an event or to invite your supporters to run one is available to download for free. Register it on the Small Charity Week website and your event could benefit from some publicity.

2. Marathon Walk Windsor

Originally developed for the Consortium for Street Children, the Marathon Walk Windsor is open to all registered charities in UK to participate in and to raise funds for their own charity.
Taking place on 21 June, it consists of a 42km walk from Windsor to Little Marlow along the River Thames and back after a stop for lunch. All refreshments en route are included in the registration fee. There are also 21km and 10km alternative routes. There are 2,500 walker places available.

3. The Small Charity Week Sitting-Down Decathlon

If a pub quiz is just a bit too energetic for you and your supporters, then the FSI have a more sedate alternative, The Small Charity Week Sitting-Down Decathlon.
It is a fundraising team-based competition of little challenges that can mostly be done sitting down! Again, all the details on how to put on an event to benefit your charity can be downloaded for free.
