How charities can add YouTube’s free music to their videos

YouTube’s Nonprofit channel has shared details of how charities can add music to accompany their videos at no charge.
Commissioning music or paying the necessary licence fee is usually an expense too far for most organisations that are keen simply to get the message out. But a soundtrack can lift the quality and impact of almost any video.
Fortunately, YouTube’s Audio Library lets you download and hundreds of free music and sound tracks to edit into your video. To be precise, these free tracks are available to any YouTube user, not just charities. YouTube’s latest video for charities is simply reminding charities that they are available, presumably because they can see these are under-used tools.
Tracks are categorised, so charities can choose from genres such as

 
In addition you can look for tracks by length and instrument.
Using the free Creator Studio function in your YouTube account, download your selected track, and then add it to your video in your video editing software of choice, which includes YouTube itself of course.
