Video competition for trustees to win ticket to NCVO Trustee Conference

Howard Lake | 12 August 2014 | News

Charity trustees can enter a competition to win one of three free tickets to NCVO’s Trustee Conference in London in November. To be in with a chance they need to record a short video in which they tell their story of what trusteeship means to them.
The competition is designed to give a little publicity for the charity they represent, and encourage others to become trustees. There are around one million trustees of charities, so the competition is appropriately titled ‘One in a Million’.
Each video should be shared online to spread the message far and wide using the hashtag #1milliontrustees.
The NCVO Trustee Conference takes place at the beginning of Trustees Week, which runs from 10-16 November 2014. So you can also append the #trusteesweek hashtag too.
Videos should be no more than three minutes long. You could use it to explain why you became a trustee, how you chose your charity, what you have learned about being a trustee, or what you think other people could gain from being a trustee.
The closing date for submitting a video is 9am on Friday 12 September 2014.
Full details including the rules are on the Trustees’ Week site, although in a graphic poster format rather than text.
