The Leo Group Community Fund is inviting applications for funding from Bradford and Calderdale charities and good causes that work with children and young people.
Since its launch in 2011, the Community Fund has made grants totalling more than £20,000: 13 organisations have already been awarded grants of up to £2,500 each.
The fund is particularly keen to hear from good causes involved in sporting activities as well as cultural, educational and environmental projects.
Leo Group is a waste management company that specialises in the collection and processing of animal by-products.
Leo Group communications manager Melanie Rosser said:

“As a major employer in both districts, we are proud to be at the heart of the community and – through the fund – have created a platform for injecting cash back into it to benefit local people long-term”.

Teachers used the money to develop a library of tactile books which they can use in an interactive approach to enable pupils to “read with their hands” for the first time.
