Minister makes Irish charity board appointments
Irish Minister for Justice and Equality, Alan Shatter, has announced sixteen appointments to the Board of the Charities Regulatory Authority that is to be established later this year under the terms of the 2009 Charities Act.
The board appointments follow the recent appointment of the first chief executive of the new charity authority. Una Ní Dhubhghaill was appointed after an internal competitive recruitment process. She was a Principal Officer in the Department of Justice and Equality and worked in a number of other government departments.
The new board will be chaired by Conor Woods with the following ordinary members:

The new Board will hold its first meeting in the coming weeks. The appointments will be formalised following the establishment of the Authority by Ministerial Order under the Charities Act later this year.
