Insurance company opens €1 million fund in Ireland

Howard Lake | 9 December 2013 | News

An insurance company is inviting applications to its €1 million fund which will provide grants for work in a range of community and voluntary areas.
The IPB Youth and Community Fund is open to organisations which work at local level and promote social inclusion in the Republic of Ireland.  The Fund will provide grants at two levels – €2,000 to €7,000 and €10,000 to €15,000.
Grants will be given in the following areas:

The deadline for applications is 17 January 2014. Successful applicants will be informed in February and projects must be completed by the end of 2014. Applications are submitted via the IPB website.
Preference will be given to initiatives that do not replicate projects already in existence in the local community; however, other applications will not be excluded. Initiatives that complement or expand the capacity of existing projects will be welcomed.
Matching funding is not a requirement. However, where other funding is available the requested funding amount from the IPB Youth & Community Fund must be a minimum of 20% of the overall cost of the initiative.
