Children’s Society to raise funds by promoting children’s savings

Howard Lake | 4 December 2013 | News

The Children’s Society is encouraging parents across the country to save money for their child’s future by putting savings into a Junior ISA account. They have joined with The Children’s ISA, and for every account opened directly via the charity’s channels, the charity will receive a £50 donation.

The Children’s ISA’s Junior ISA account provides tax-free savings up to £3720 per year. It can be opened by a parent or guardian and accessed by the child when they turn 18.

Budgeting workshops

As well as fundraising, The Children’s ISA will also offer budgeting workshops in children’s centres for parents to provide advice and support to them.

“We are proud that The Children’s Society is our charity of the year and the donations we make from our Children’s ISA accounts will go towards the charity’s vital work with some of the most vulnerable children.”
