Blackbaud launches data driven fundraising survey
Not-for-profit software & services firm Blackbaud has launched a survey into the extent and nature of data driven fundraising. The research is being carried out in association with nfpSynergy.
Blackbaud is asking for feedback from the heads of IT at charities and anyone with responsibility for buying and implementing technology. It aims to find out about how technology is used with data, data integration and CRM, and how charity staff understand these issues.
Blackbaud plans to share the findings of the research with charities. This should help them get more value from the data they hold on donors and supporters, and it should help charities compare themselves against other organisations in the sector.

The company says that Individual responses will be kept confidential and data only used in aggregate. All information shared with nfpSynergy will be treated "in the strictest confidence and nothing you say as an individual will be passed onto Blackbaud".
Participants in the survey will be entered in a draw for a chance to win a new iPad Mini.
The survey into data driven fundraising closes on 30 September 2013.
