Hilton in the Community Foundation chooses Blackbaud Heroix for fundraising

Hilton in the Community Foundation has chosen Blackbaud’s Software-as-a-Service (Saas) online event fundraising platform Heroix™ to help it expand its fundraising across Europe. It will be used to provide more branded online giving pages for 160 hotels across Europe.
The Foundation has raised more than £14 million through various campaigns over the past 14 years, with initiatives being carried out by staff members of its corporate partner Hilton Worldwide. In addition it runs a large number of fundraising events each year. These include Around the World in a Day and the Mayfair Power and Tower Race, where individual runners run 4.5 km around Hyde Park before climbing the 28 floors at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
It had received requests from event organisers to provide more advanced online fundraising tools so that, for example, each supporter could have their own individual event page and personalised website address.
Hilton in the Community Foundation’s Fundraising Events Executive, Samiya Rashid, said:

“Blackbaud Heroix offered more cost effective flexibility and control than our previous online giving platforms, which often felt like people were not aware of the fact it was HCF doing the fundraising and how our supporters fit together. Individuals now set up their own branded and bespoke giving page, which makes it easier to see how much each center or event has raised and introduces a fun element of competition.”

Central giving hub

As well as providing the online giving platform for each individual hotel, the Blackbaud Heroix team also designed a central giving hub, so that all staff  and event participants can find their hotel or event and, if they wish, compare how they are performing compared to other hotels.
All money raised by HCF is used to support children and young people up to the age of 25. It donates half of all money raised to charities nominated by individual hotels and the other half to organisations that have applied for a HCF grant.
