Vodafone Ireland launches ‘World of Difference’

Vodafone Ireland has launched its annual World of Difference programme for the next year.

World of Difference funds an individual to work with a charity they are passionate about with a salary award of €40,000 for twelve months, plus some expenses.  Vodafone describes the programme as supporting social innovation while giving someone the chance to answer their calling.

In 2012 Young Social Innovators, Threshold, Pieta and MS Ireland were beneficiaries of the award. The programme has been running since 2007 and last year’s winners included Rob Walls who worked with housing charity Threshold helping them interpret legislation and formulating strategies to protect tenants in rented accommodation.
