Howard Lake | 1 August 2013 | News

The Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB), Public Fundraising Regulatory Association (PFRA) and the Institute of Fundraising have together selected professional services firm PwC to review the self-regulation of fundraising.

PwC was one of a group of organisations which responded to the invitation to tender for the review, announced in June. It will start work on the review, which is designed to buil “a sustainable self-regulatory system for fundraising”, in September. The Office for Civil Society gave the Institute a £20,000 grant to fund research into fundraising self-regulation. The budget for the review is £18,500.

Also in June, the Public Administration Select Committee told the fundraising umbrella and regulatory bodies that they should consider themselves “on notice” in terms of improving on the current system of fundraising self-regulation.
