Vodafone offers €200,000 in Mobile for Good Europe Awards

The Vodafone Foundation Mobile for Good Europe Awards are now open for entries. This joint initiative with AGE Platform Europe (AGE) and the European Disability Forum (EDF) aims to find the best Android and iOS applications that clearly benefit society.
The four awards categories are:
- health
- accessibility
- education
- mobilising public services
The organisers are looking for both finished apps and prototype apps which can be further developed.

The Mobile for Good Europe Awards follow on from the success of the Vodafone Foundation Smart Accessibility Awards in 2011 and 2012. The organisers wanted to broaden the scope of the awards.
The three winners in each category will each win:
- 1st €30.000
- 2nd €15.000
- 3rd €5.000
The deadline for applications is midday GMT on 15 October 2013.
