Buggyfit supports Tommy’s Baby Race 2013

Howard Lake | 25 April 2013 | News

Pre and post-natal fitness experts Buggyfit are supporting The Baby Race, the fundraising event series run by baby charity Tommy's.

Now in its fourth year, the 8K race is open to individuals and families to run or stroll round a park in the summer. All the routes follow a designated path and are of course easy to navigate with a buggy.

The 10 events take place from June to September 2013 at venues including Hylands Park in Chelsmford, Preston, Avenham Park in Preston, Quarry Park in Shrewsbury, Virginia Water in Windsor, and Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.

Tommy’s encourages each participant to raise at least £50 in sponsorship, and is offering prices from other corporate sponsors including Cow & Gate and Trunki for those who raise the most.

Jane Brewin, Chief Executive of Tommy’s, said: "What is so special about this event is that such a range of individuals, from tiny babies to dads and pregnant women, contribute to the spirit of the day. It is their dedication, effort and enthusiasm that allows Tommy’s to continue to make progress in our research and continue to save thousands of babes’ lives."
