Moto in the Community raises

Howard Lake | 24 April 2013 | News

Moto in the Community, the charitable arm of Moto Hospitality Ltd, has raised £200,000 for Help for Heroes, its charity of the year. It will continue to support the charity throughout 2013.

The money was rased by staff and customers at Moto service areas throughout 2012. It will be used to fund a vegetable garden at Tedworth House, one of Help for Heroes’ Recovery Centres, and to sponsor a bedroom for a resident.

The Moto in the Community Trust was set up by Moto in 2005 to make a difference to the 56 areas in which the company operates.  So far it has raised £1.7 million to help good causes in the UK.

Local charity support

As well as its national charity of the year, the Moto in the Community Trust also provides financial grants to smaller charities and good causes by encouraging each of its sites to adopt a local charity of the year.
