Rosie Newman’s Britain at War in Colour – early Red Cross shop
Wartime footage of bomb damage in London during the Second World War includes film of one of the first British Red Cross charity shops.
The shop, still trading despite the damage, was located in London’s Bond Street.
The excerpt below is from the 1946 film ‘Britain at War’ by amateur film-maker Rosie Newman. The colour film shows Britain during the Second World War.
