CentUp offers microdonations split between artists and charities

CentUp is a US organisation offering a microdonation service that splits donations between artists and creative people, such as bloggers and musicians, and charities.

Publishers can add the CentUp button to their website, alongside the other popular social sharing buttons for Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and so on.

Individuals need to load their CentUp account with a payment. They can also choose the charity they wish to benefit.

Then each time they like some content online, whether it is a blog post, a video, some music, then can like it – and far more practically than a Facebook 'like' – by making a little donation from their CentUp account.
