Integrated business management software provider Access Group has acquired fundraising and CRM software specialist thankQ. The company will now be providing “a fully-integrated finance and fundraising CRM system to the sector”.

Access Group has over 530 organisations using its finance and human resources solutions and thankQ has 230 customers, including BBC Children in Need, Charity Finance Group, Jewish Care, and Citizens Advice.

Chris Bayne, CEO for Access, said: “Having worked closely with the not-for-profit sector for many years, we know that there is strong demand for tightly integrated finance and fundraising systems. With the acquisition of thankQ, Access is now able to offer a fully integrated best-of-breed solution bringing time and cost savings to our NFP customers and improving reporting of both financial and non-financial data.”

John Bird, MD of thankQ, commented: “Joining Access is a great opportunity for our customers and staff. It’s the perfect fit both in terms of approach and technology; their team understands the complexities of our market space and is passionate about what we’ve been looking to achieve. By fully integrating the Access and thankQ solutions, we’ll make a positive impact on the NFP sector by helping our customers improve the way they operate and gain greater efficiencies across their organisation.

“With the addition of Access’ HR solution, we can also help them make the most of their best asset – their people.”

ThankQ, formerly ESiT Ltd, has been working with charities since the mid 1990s, and expanded to Australia in 2003.

Access aCloud

Access launched its cloud platform Access aCloud last week, gaining 1,500 users within 48 hours. Of these 20% were not-for-profit organisations. ThankQ customers will now have access to the service. One of the functions relevant to charities is aCloud Expense which allows organisations with fluctuating workforces (volunteers, seasonal staff, and temporary workers) to submit expenses anytime, on any devices, in an intuitive and cost-effective manner.
