Santander chooses CLIC Sargent as Charity of the Year 2013
Santander has chosen CLIC Sargent as its Charity of the Year partner for 2013 and aims to raise £800,000 for the cancer charity for children and young people.
The charity was chosen in a staff vote in which over a third of staff voted for CLIC Sargent.
Jonathan Elliott, Santander's Community Manager, said: "We have events planned across the UK to bring together our staff to make a difference for the charity. Fundraising for our Charity of the Year partners has grown year-on-year and we’re confident that this will continue in 2013."

During the year, it will support fundraising activities, including two It’s A Knockout events, the Santander Flame Relay and an international trek, as well as branch counter campaigns.
It introduced its charity of the year scheme in 2008. Since then it has increased its fundraising from £100,000 to over £750,000. Previous charity partners have included Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Alzheimer’s Society and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
