Dorset companies to receive support in corporate community giving

Dorset Community Foundation has launched its Corporate Community Giving Scheme, designed to connect Dorset companies to the causes that matter to them whilst giving them recognition for making a difference to their community.

The scheme will provide companies with support in building a unique offer to the local community.

It was launched by Minister for Civil Society Nick Hurd MP. He said: “Businesses tell me that they want to get involved in their communities because their employees like it, their customers like it and they want to feel proud about where they live.

“This scheme will make it easier for this to happen and for every £2 a business puts in, the Government will put in £1 which is a great incentive for people to support their local area.”

Dorset Community Foundation provides donor advisory and grant making services for companies, private individuals, charitable trusts and statutory bodies. During the past year it has distributed £661,000 to 185 local charities.
