Public vote to decide finalists of The National Lottery Awards

Ten voluntary and charity projects from across the UK that have received National Lottery funding have made it through to the semi-final stage of The National Lottery Awards. A public vote will decide which three make it to the finals, which will be broadcast live on BBC One later in the year, and where the winner will receive national coverage and a £2,000 prize.
The National Lottery Awards are an annual search to find “the UK’s favourite Lottery-funded projects” and to celebrate the difference that these organisations make to local communities.
There are seven categories in the Awards, each reflecting the main areas of Lottery funding: arts, sport, heritage, health, environment, education and voluntary/charity. There are 10 projects up for voting on in each of the seven categories.
The semi-finalists in the Best Voluntary/Charity Project category are:

· Home-Start Camden
· Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Network
· FREEWHEELING @ Adrenaline Alley
· One Eighty Degrees
· BOOST For Young Carers
· Stonepillow Restore
· Justlife
· Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust
· New Forest Nightstop
National Lottery ticket sales generate £30 million a week for good causes across the UK.
Voting for the semi-finals ends at midday on Sunday 22 July.
